Adobe is the latest of several large corporations to join Blender’s development fund. The news is a testimony to how much Blender has grown and how well respected it is in the industry. Adobe’s addition comes after other industry giants like Nvidia, Epic and Google.
Blender’s Development Fund is used exclusively to pay for development of the 3D software under the supervision of the Blender Foundation. The Blender Foundation’s commitment continues to be focused on creating a free and open-source 3D software.
On the same day the above news came out, Adobe also announced the release of a Mixamo Add-On for Blender allowing artists to rig characters created in Adobe Mixamo right inside of Blender with the click of a button.
