Ms. Preston specializes in digital content development, promotional campaigns, sales and marketing tapes and new media productions. After successful careers at The Discovery Channel and the Public Broadcasting Service, she went out on her own and enjoyed a successful career as owner and principal of Blink Inc., where she worked with a large and diverse clientele. In 2012 she accepted a full-time position as in-house “Creative Producer & Director” with her long-time production partner, Interface Media Group (IMG). Ms. Preston received her degree in Television and Film from the University of Maryland, with an emphasis on the documentary. She began her professional career in 1985 as an editor and producer, part of the original start-up team for The Discovery Channel. During her five years at the network, she developed and created on-air programs, packaging and promotions that branded the channel and laid the foundation for its current success. As the Senior Producer at Discovery, Ms. Preston produced films and behind-the-scenes fillers. She also designed key commercial sales tapes, Upfronts, tune-in ads, and interstitial elements for such award-winning events as Russia: Live from the Inside, Reef Watch and Shark Week. In 1990, Bannon accepted a position at the Public Broadcasting Service, PBS, where she worked for eight years as a director, writer and producer. As a Senior Writer/Producer for the Advertising and Creative Services department, she designed and created national campaigns for the PBS prime-time schedule and was responsible for the packaging and promotion of select specials and series. She also produced hour-long programs, filler material, and non-broadcast materials for the PBS Annual Meeting. While at PBS she worked closely with content producers in designing and packaging documentaries, drama series and children’s programming. From packaging an entire series to interviewing the filmmakers themselves, Bannon has worked closely with such award winning filmmakers as Ken Burns, Ted Turner, Bill Moyers, and David Fanning of Frontline. In 1997, Bannon decided to strike out on her own and founded Blink Inc., a company dedicated to producing the highest quality content. She had a successful 15-year career as owner of Blink Inc., producing everything from 30-second spots, to packaging Shark Week and creating hour-long training videos for government agencies. In 2012, Ms. Preston accepted a staff position as in-house “Creative Producer & Director” for Interface Media Group. She is thrilled to be able to work full-time with such a talented group of people. She has worked with IMG over the past 25 years, for one simple reason: IMG is the best in the business.
