On this day of Museum Week, we get a unique view of the museum world as it’s being imagined. The National Museum of American Religion is not yet a physical building, but its mission and clear vision makes you hope it will be. Whether you subscribe to a religion or not, the role of religion and religious freedom was a vital force in the formation of the United States. And as the United States has morphed, it has morphed religion itself. Our role was to create videos that explore the overarching ideas of the museum. But in this incubation stage of a museum’s life, it’s more than that: we get to help not only share what kinds of topics and themes the museum will explore, but the vision of what the museum wishes to be.
